General Resources Coastal Business and Economic Development Great Lakes Sea Grant Network Sea Grant is the only program in the region specifically designed to transfer technology to marine industries and coastal businesses. National Center for Industrial Competitiveness NCIC helps technology based companies in Ohio and the Great Lakes region by providing financial, technical and management support. Northeast-Midwest Institute The Institute is a policy research center providing staff support to the House and Senate Great Lakes Task Forces. Policy research focuses on invasive species, ecosystem restoration, island conservation, water management, brownfield redevelopment, economic benefits of sediment remediation, energy, and other issues important to the Great Lakes.
